Job summary

Choice International in Patna is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist with 5+ years of experience in civil infrastructure development. The role requires handling government and community-level projects, BOQ estimation, tendering, and contract management.

Holders of B.Tech or M.Tech in Civil Engineering will oversee design reviews, site supervision, and collaboration with contractors and government bodies, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience mandatory.
• Experience with infrastructure projects involving government departments, cooperatives, rural institutions, agricultural infrastructure, warehouses, collection/aggregation centres or community-level infrastructure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction and infrastructure development.
• Good understanding of BOQ, estimation, costing, tendering, and contract management.
• Ability to conduct site supervision and quality assessments.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be expert in written and spoken English and Hindi Languages.
• Incumbent must be computer savvy with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor infrastructure development activities under the project.
• Provide technical guidance for construction, renovation, repair, and development of project-related infrastructure.
• Review technical designs, drawings, estimates, BOQs, and specifications for civil works.
• Supervise construction activities and ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and assess the progress and quality of infrastructure works.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, government departments, cooperative societies, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, physical progress, and utilization of resources.
• Identify technical issues/delays and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable construction standards, safety requirements, and statutory guidelines.
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
• Support procurement and tendering activities related to infrastructure and civil works.
• Assist the Project Management Consultant/Team Leader in infrastructure-related planning and decision-making.
