Job summary

Netweb Technologies India is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure. You will handle server hardware installation, OS deployment, and basic networking within data center environments.

You will work on RAID/configuration, remote management tools, virtualization platforms, and DR activities, ensuring uptime and compliance with SLAs. Strong hardware diagnostics and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise servers from major OEMs.
• Strong installation, configuration, and admin skills for Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with RAID configuration, BIOS settings, firmware upgrades, and remote management tools.
• Familiar with basic networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, Fibre Channel, iSCSI.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM/Proxmox).
• Familiar with Data Center infrastructure: racks, PDUs, UPS, cabling.
• Understanding DR concepts, backups, RPO/RTO.
• Ability to diagnose hardware and monitor server health.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support the deployment, installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with server hardware installation, operating system deployment, basic networking, storage connectivity, and a sound understanding of Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical installation, racking, cabling, and commissioning of rack, tower, and GPU servers in data center environments.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Configure RAID controllers, BIOS, BMC/IPMI/iDRAC/iLO, firmware, and server hardware components.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate replacement of faulty components (CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD, NIC, PSU, RAID controllers, etc.).
• Execute server burn-in, health checks, and post-installation validation.
• Support SAN/NAS storage connectivity and basic Fibre Channel/iSCSI configurations.
• Assist in deployment of virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V, or Proxmox (preferred).
• Understand and support Data Center operations, including power, cooling, rack layouts, PDU, UPS, and structured cabling.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities, including backup verification, DR drills, and restoration testing.
• Monitor server health, hardware alerts, and system performance.
• Prepare installation reports, asset documentation, and implementation checklists.
• Coordinate with project managers, OEMs, and customer teams during installation and acceptance testing.
• Provide on‑site and remote support during infrastructure deployments and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with organizational processes, documentation standards, and customer SLAs.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise servers from OEMs such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or CentOS) installation and administration.
• Experience with RAID configuration, BIOS settings, firmware upgrades, and remote management tools (IPMI, iLO, iDRAC).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID, Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V, KVM/Proxmox).
• Familiarity with Data Center infrastructure, including racks, PDUs, UPS systems, structured cabling, and environmental considerations.
• Good understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts, backup solutions, RPO, and RTO.
• Familiarity with hardware diagnostics and monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GPU servers or High‑Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, virtualization clusters, or cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
