Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics or related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in server, storage, and backup infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience in hardware monitoring, firmware upgrades, patch management, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer enterprise server infrastructure including Blade Servers, Chassis, and VxRail appliances.
• Perform server hardware health monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware failures until closure.
• Manage firmware, BIOS, and security patch updates as per SLAs.
• Support data center migration activities and hardware refresh initiatives.
• Perform iDRAC firmware upgrades and hardware lifecycle management.
• Monitor VMware vCenter dashboards and identify infrastructure-related issues.
• Administer Dell EMC PowerMax storage, NAS, and backup environments.
• Coordinate tape backup management and restoration activities.
• Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot backup failures.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Server and Storage to manage and support enterprise server, storage, backup, and VDI infrastructure. The candidate will primarily be responsible for server administration while providing backup support for storage and backup operations. The role requires hands‑on experience in hardware monitoring, firmware upgrades, patch management, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in a data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

Server Administration (Primary Responsibility)

• Monitor and administer enterprise server infrastructure, including Blade Servers, Chassis, and VxRail appliances.
• Perform server hardware health monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Analyze hardware logs and coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware failures until closure.
• Manage firmware, BIOS, and security patch updates as per organizational standards and SLAs.
• Support data center migration activities and hardware refresh initiatives.
• Perform iDRAC firmware upgrades and hardware lifecycle management.
• Monitor VMware vCenter dashboards and identify infrastructure‑related issues.

Storage Administration (Secondary Responsibility)

• Administer Dell EMC PowerMax storage environment.
• Manage LUN provisioning, Storage Resource Pools (SRP), Masking Views, and Quota Management.
• Perform ENAS volume expansion and NAS file system creation.
• Monitor storage performance and conduct storage log analysis.
• Support VAPT remediation, ACL modifications, and firewall rule updates.

Backup Administration

• Administer enterprise backup solutions using Dell EMC Networker.
• Manage Data Domain appliances and backup operations.
• Coordinate tape backup management and restoration activities.
• Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot backup failures.
• Ensure backup availability and compliance with recovery objectives.

Change & Patch Management

• Execute firmware, software, OS, and security patch updates following approved Change Management processes.
• Maintain infrastructure compliance with security standards and audit requirements.
• Document all changes and maintain implementation records.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and coordinate with OEM vendors.
• Escalate critical issues and ensure timely resolution within SLA.
• Participate in root cause analysis and preventive maintenance activities.

Documentation

• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), implementation plans, and technical documentation.
• Maintain asset inventory and operational documentation.
• Support knowledge sharing and operational readiness.
