Job summary

Algoleap Technologies Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Centre Engineer to join our IT operations team. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in an IT Operations Centre for mid to enterprise environments, with strong monitoring using SCOM and SolarWinds.

You will handle Level 2 incidents, manage Hyper‑V and VMware environments, apply security patches, and work closely with SMEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Networking is required.
• 3–5 years in a NOC or technical support role.
• Experience in enterprise IT operations and ITIL practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee server and network performance using monitoring tools.
• Provide Level 2 support for server and network issues.
• Lead Major Incident Management calls and coordinate resolution.
• Collaborate with SMEs to resolve complex issues.
• Patch Hyper‑V and manage VM environments (Hyper‑V/VMware).
• Assist in maintenance activities and planned outages.
• Escalate critical issues via on-call process.
• Coordinate network and firewall changes with vendors.

• Experience withticketing systems (ServiceNow) to track and prioritise incidents.

• Strong Knowledgein troubleshooting and maintaining Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2021.
  
• Proficiency inmanaging and patching Hyper‑V hosts and Virtual Machines.

Roles andResponsibilities

• Expertise inusing monitoring tools (SCOM & Solarwinds) to oversee server andnetwork performance.
  
• Delivering Level2 support for server and network-related issues.
  
• Take ownershipof critical incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  
• Participate inMajor Incident Management (MIM) calls as and when required.
  
• Analyze andprioritize alerts based on severity and impact.
  
• Work closelywith Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various IT teams to resolvecomplex issues.
  
• Servermanagement and support for Hyper‑V & VM-Ware, which includes servercheckpoint creation and deletion, addition of RAM and CPU, and theintegration of new data drives.
  
• Joincollaborative calls with other engineering teams to support and facilitatenetwork and firewall changes.
  
• Work withvendors for timely replacement of server hardware components.
  
• Identify andresolve common OS problems, escalating complex issues to higher-levelsupport when required.
  
• Monitor andmanage the health of the physical server estate.
  
• Level 1 supportfor cloud platforms (Azure & AWS), including software troubleshootingand installation.
  
• Participate inscheduled maintenance activities and provide support during plannedoutages.
  
• Escalation forcritical issues through the On-call Process.
  
• Communicateeffectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues.
  
• Perform patchingfor Hyper‑V hosts on physical servers and manage the migration of virtualmachines (VMs) from the host.
  
• Create baselinesfollowing the release of Microsoft patches to ensure systems areup-to-date and secure.
  
• Conduct patchingof management hosts with minimal downtime, particularly focusing on SystemCenter Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
