We are looking for an experiencedInfrastructure Engineerto design, maintain, and support reliable on-premises infrastructure environments across compute, storage, and database platforms.

The role is suited for an infrastructure professional with strong hands-on experience inon-prem infrastructure engineeringand an interest in modern infrastructure automation. You will contribute to maintaining stable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure while supporting automation initiatives using technologies such asAnsible and Terraform.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a practical approach to infrastructure operations, and the ability to learn and adopt modern automation and monitoring practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and supporton-premises infrastructureacross compute, storage, and database environments.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues.
• Support server, storage, compute, and database infrastructure operations as required.
• Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
• Perform infrastructure configuration, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.
• Identify repetitive operational activities and develop opportunities forinfrastructure automation.
• Work withAnsible and Terraformto automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices and improve consistency across infrastructure environments.
• Support infrastructure monitoring and observability using tools such asDynatrace and Grafana.
• Work with IT service-management processes and tools such asServiceNowfor incidents, requests, changes, and problem management.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure optimisation, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support infrastructure changes, deployments, upgrades, and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure infrastructure environments follow established security, availability, reliability, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with senior infrastructure engineers and technical teams on improvement and transformation initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 4+ years of experiencein infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, data-centre operations, or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience withon-premises infrastructure engineering.
• Practical experience working with one or more infrastructure domains, includingcompute, storage, or database infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of server infrastructure, system administration, infrastructure operations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure environments with a focus on availability, reliability, and performance.
• Exposure toinfrastructure automationand a strong interest in expanding automation capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to learn and work hands-on withAnsible and Terraform.
• Working knowledge ofInfrastructure as Codeconcepts is an advantage.
• Experience withDynatrace, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability platformsis desirable.
• Familiarity withServiceNowand IT service-management processes is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
