Job summary

HARMAN is seeking an Infotainment System Engineer for defect triaging in Bengaluru. The role focuses on root cause analysis from logs/traces and collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage and prioritize defects across multiple OEMs and regions.

The candidate will work with tools like DLT Viewer, Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and DTS Monaco, performing tests when needed and ensuring quality in infotainment defect handling.

Qualifications

• Root cause analysis of issues based on logs/traces.
• Identify duplicate tickets based on root cause analysis.
• Assign severity and priority of defects.
• Check quality of the reported defects.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and automation engineers to understand and clarify defects.
• Follow defined process guidelines for triaging documentation.
• Perform tests for functional/non-functional requirements (if needed).

Experience

6-9 years of relevant experience in defect triaging for infotainment system

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering or in a relevant stream.

Job Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis of issues based on logs/traces.
• Identification of duplicate tickets based on root cause analysis.

Mandatory Skills

• Excellent in Infotainment system defect analysis and triaging
• Excellent in trace or log analysis ( DLT/CAN/Ethernet logs etc.).
• Knowledge on automotive tools like DLT Viewer , Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, DTS Monaco etc.
• Strong in Automotive Infotainment system testing for different OEMs, regions and languages.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols like SOME-IP, SOME-IP SD, CAN, Flexray, MOST, Ethernet diagnostics UDP, UDS ISO-14229 etc.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge on network communications.
• Working experience in trace analysis of Android applications.
• Experience with hardware devices used in automotive testing like Vector, K2L, Power Supply, power matrix etc.
