Role:- IT Infrastructure Manager – Infrastructure, Cloud, SAP Basis & DR

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and manage our enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premise environments, cloud platforms, SAP Basis, networks, servers, backup, storage, and disaster recovery.

The role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, availability, performance, and scalability of critical IT infrastructure supporting business operations. The position will also act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and provide leadership to the infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Server Administration

• Manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
• Administer VMware vSphere/Hyper‑V environments, including provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and performance and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Manage server hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system availability.
• Design, deploy, and manage workloads on Azure/AWS/GCP platforms.
• Manage cloud compute, storage, networking, identity, and access resources.
• Support hybrid‑cloud connectivity such as VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect.
• Implement cloud security, IAM policies, compliance controls, and cost optimization initiatives.

3. SAP Basis Administration

• Administer SAP environments including ECC, S/4HANA, and NetWeaver.
• Handle SAP installation, upgrades, patching, configuration, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS), client administration, and system refresh activities.
• Monitor SAP performance, background jobs, work processes, and system health.
• Coordinate SAP database administration activities across HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Manage SAP user administration, authorizations, and security in coordination with relevant teams.

4. Network Infrastructure

• Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues.
• Manage VLANs, network segmentation, bandwidth, and network security policies.
• Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and technology vendors for network‑related escalations.

5. Backup, Storage & Disaster Recovery

• Design and manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, or Azure Backup.
• Define backup schedules, retention policies, and restore validation procedures.
• Own the organization's Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy, documentation, and periodic DR drills.
• Ensure defined RTO/RPO objectives are achieved.
• Manage replication between primary and DR sites.
• Administer SAN/NAS storage, including provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.

6. Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain IT security controls across servers, networks, cloud, and infrastructure platforms.
• Support internal and external audits and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, wherever applicable.
• Ensure endpoint protection, patching compliance, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure security.

7. Operations & Team Leadership

• Act as an L3 escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for major incidents.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and infrastructure standards.
• Mentor and guide infrastructure/system administration team members.
• Drive knowledge sharing and operational best practices.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities and on‑call support as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system administration, with at least 3–4 years in a senior/lead/managerial capacity.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Mandate proven experience in SAP Basis administration, including installation, upgrades, transports, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA / Oracle / SQL Server databases.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure and/or AWS infrastructure, deployment, and administration.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, VLANs, and network security.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions and Disaster Recovery planning/execution.
• Strong experience with VMware and/or Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting/automation tools will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
