Job summary

TGBPL TP India - IBU is looking for a specialist in Information Systems Security to design and implement secure systems while leading a team of experts. This role includes conducting risk assessments, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing security policies, mentoring staff, and planning disaster recovery strategies to protect our IT assets and information systems, ensuring a secure operational environment.

Responsibilities

Information Systems Security work focuses on preventing IT‑based crime, hacking, intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction of an organization's information systems, IT assets, and intellectual property.

• Designing, testing, and implementing secure operating systems, networks, and databases.
• Password auditing, network‑based and web application‑based vulnerability scanning, virus management, and intrusion detection.
• Conducting risk audits and assessments, and providing recommendations for application design.
• Monitoring and analyzing system access logs.
• Planning for security backup and system disaster recovery.

Serve as the final decision‑maker in the area, coach, mentor, and train others on the area of expertise. Lead a team of specialists, sometimes with several hierarchical levels, with full employee lifecycle responsibility. Ensure the implementation of short to medium term activities within the business area, support sub‑functions within the department strategy, and develop and implement appropriate policies, procedures, and standards to support tactical direction.

Responsible for leading a team of specialists and ensuring effective resource management, training, and compliance with security policies.
