Job Overview

Department: Quality and Compliance – Infection Prevention & Control. Working Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Employment Type: Full‑time, On‑site. Experience: 5–12 years in infection control roles at NABH/JCI‑accredited hospitals. Salary: ₹4,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum (based on experience, certificates, hospital size). Educational requirement: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Microbiology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, or Healthcare Management. Preferred certification: Infection Control (CI) or Hospital Infection Control Practices (HICCP). Knowledge of NABH, JCI, CDC, WHO infection control guidelines mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct surveillance of hospital‑acquired infections (HAIs), surgical site infections, and antibiotic resistance patterns.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections in Operating Theatre, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), wards, labs, and critical care units.
  • Monitor hand hygiene compliance, biomedical waste segregation, PPE usage, and sterilization protocols.
  • Investigate outbreaks, perform root‑cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Train healthcare workers on infection control practices, outbreak protocols, and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments, housekeeping, and quality assurance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, ISO, and local health authority guidelines.
  • Maintain and analyze infection data and present periodic reports to hospital leadership.
  • Participate in accreditation readiness, internal audits, and emergency preparedness plans.
