Job summary

Schneider Electric in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced Industrialization Leader to drive innovation in automation assembly. You will lead a cross-functional team, manage projects, and push cost-efficient technologies to improve safety, quality, lead time, and process capacity.

The role requires deep expertise in manufacturing, test equipment, and PM skills, with a focus on applying SPS/Lean principles and scalable processes across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/E&E/Electrical/Mechatronics).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management with leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of main assembly technologies and technology leadership.
  • Experience in SPM and special purpose machines for assembly lines.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and automatic assembly equipment maintenance.
  • Strong automation and programming software experience: PLC, HMI, MES, VB.NET, NI LabVIEW, TestStand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrialization product development ensuring manufacturability and scalable processes.
  • Drive new technology deployment into production with seamless integration.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing performance.
  • Plan and manage industrialization projects, budgets, and resources.
  • Develop and mentor team members and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure quality standards and effective process controls across manufacturing.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and promote safety culture across the plant.

Job description

Overview

Individual will be responsible to take leadership role driving innovation with industrial solutions in automation. People leadership engaging technical staff. Main activities will be implementation and qualification of the assembly process for plastic and metallic components in line with SPS/Lean manufacturing principles using cost-effective technologies. This role involves developing and delivering assembly processes and equipment with optimal operational performance in safety, quality, lead time, process capacity and cost efficiency with CFT within the skill chapter.

The individual will bring technical expertise to the industrialization assembly process team and drive the introduction and standardization of new automation and test technologies and processes. Digital Knowledge, IIoT, Cybersecurity, MES Traceability.

Product Industrialization
  • Ensuring Manufacturability: Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and identify potential issues early in the process.
  • Process Development: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.
  • Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they can meet the required quality and delivery standards.
  • Process Qualification: Lead the qualification of new processes and equipment to ensure they meet performance requirements.
Technology Integration
  • New Technology Deployment: Drive the deployment of new technologies into production, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows.
Innovation
  • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance.
Project Management
  • Project Planning: Develop and manage industrialization project plans, ensuring they are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage project budgets and ensure they are within allocated limits.
  • Resource Management: Manage resources effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Team Development
  • Team Development: Develop and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment across different departments and functions.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress and any issues that arise.
Quality Assurance
  • Quality Standards: Ensure that all manufacturing processes and products meet required quality standards.
  • Process Control: Implement and maintain effective process control systems to ensure consistent quality.
  • Problem Solving: Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues.
Compliance and Safety
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Safety: Promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Be accountable until product/process and flow have reached the required level of robustness and efficiency as committed with Supply Chain operations.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/E&E/Electrical/Mechatronics) / Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management. Proven leadership experience.
  • Very good knowledge in main assembly technologies & technology leadership.
  • Good knowledge & proven experience in development of SPM & unique technologies (special purpose machine) for manual, semi-auto & fully automatic assembly lines.
  • Good knowledge in test equipment (mechanical, electrotechnical, electronics, magnetic, thermal, differential, HV, continuity). Knowledge of automatic assembly equipment, test benches build and maintenance.
  • Strong experience in automation and programming software, including PLC, HMI, MES, VB.NET, NI LabView, and Test Stand.
  • People Manager.
