Job summary

DESRI is seeking a CA intern to join our finance team in Hyderabad for a 9–12 month tenure. You will prepare, review, and file U.S. GAAP-based financial statements for renewable energy projects, funds, and corporate entities, while maintaining books and records with strict close timelines and controls.

You will produce management reports, including EBITDA, and assist in audits by coordinating with auditors and asset managers in the U.S. and India.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Chartered Accountancy course with CA-Inter/IPCC cleared in first or second attempt.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to take initiative with limited direction and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file U.S. GAAP-based financial statements for the Entities, ensuring close timelines and control procedures.
• Prepare Management reports including EBITDA, project forecasted trial balances, and budget vs. actual analyses.
• Liaise with auditors and coordinate with U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams and external consultants for audits and regulatory reporting.
• Work on establishing, standardizing, optimizing, and documenting accounting processes, workflows, and controls.

About the role

• Pursuing Chartered Accountancy course, having cleared CA-Inter/IPCC in first or second attempt, and having completed a minimum of one year of articleship
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to take initiative with limited direction and guidance
• Duration of the role is nine to twelve months

What youll do

• In this role, you will prepare, review, and file U.S. GAAP-based financial statements for the companys renewable energy projects, investment funds, and corporate entities (collectively, the Entities), while maintaining books and records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and ensuring adherence to close timelines and control procedures.
• You will prepare Management reports including EBITDA reports, quarterly project forecasted trial balances, and conduct budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual analysis.
• You will have the opportunity to liaise with auditors and ensure timely closure of external audits, while interacting with the U.S. and Hyderabad-based asset managers, treasury and tax team associates, and external consultants. You will review financial information to be included in various regulatory reports, engage in various forms of management and investor reporting, coordinate tax reporting, and furnish investor account statements.
• Throughout the role, you will also get the opportunity to work on initiatives related to establishing, standardizing, optimizing, and documenting accounting processes, workflows, and controls.
