Job summary

Gudgudee, a Bangalore-based design firm focused on innovative playgrounds, offers an in-office internship for mechanical engineering students. The role involves designing spaces and play elements, researching materials, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely execution.

The internship runs for 6 months with a stipend of INR 10,000–15,000 per month; start window mid Sep'26 to mid Oct'26. 5-day weeks and a certificate plus recommendation letter are provided.

Responsibilities

• Understand briefs for various projects from the design team and conceptualize ideas.
• Detail the designs of spaces, products, play elements with respect to scale, anthropometry, material feasibility, and budgets.
• Research about children, play, play theory, etc and for different materials, finishes, and processes.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure quality and timely execution of projects.
• Prepare execution timelines with the project manager and coordinate different projects simultaneously in a seamless fashion.
• Create and maintain a material library by looking for new materials and securing samples as directed by the design team.
