We are looking for a hands-on and technically sound ElectronicsIndustrialization Engineer to drive the transition of products from designto scalable, high-quality manufacturing. This role is a critical interfacebetween R&D, sourcing, and EMS partners, ensuring design intent ispreserved while enabling cost-effective, reliable mass production.
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in powerelectronics, a working understanding of embedded software, andpractical experience in EMS collaboration and DFM.
As anIndustrialization Engineerat Ultraviolette Automotive, your roles and responsibilities will be to:
- Leadthe industrialization lifecycle from prototype (EVT) throughvalidation (DVT/PVT) to mass production.
- Translateengineering design into production-ready documentation (BOMs,gerbers, PCBA specs, test jigs).
- Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability(DFT) reviews.
- Ownramp-up quality metrics such as yield, test coverage, and field returntrends.
- Workwith R&D on thermal design reviews, layout strategies,and power component derating.
- Ensurecompliance with voltage isolation, creepage/clearance, andsafety standards.
- Actas the technical bridge between internal R&D,sourcing/procurement, and EMS partners.
- Evaluateand qualify suppliers and alternate components, driving costengineering without compromising quality.
- Coordinatewith EMS on NPI builds, line setup, process validation, and firstarticle inspection (FAI).
- Assistin issue resolution across mechanical fit, electrical issues,firmware compatibility, and yield drops.
- Supportflashing, validation, and version control of firmware at the EMS line.
- Workclosely with software teams to validate hardware-software integration under production conditions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.E./B.Techin Electronics, Electrical, or related discipline.
- 5–10years of experience in hardware industrialization
- Solidknowledge of PCB design reviews, SMT/PCBA manufacturing, and boxbuild.
- Workingknowledge ofAltium, OrCAD, or similar for PCB-leveldiscussions.
- Experiencewith test development, ICT/FCT setups, fixture design and teststation qualification.
- Comfortablereviewing or discussing schematics, layouts, and thermal design.
- Familiarwith component lifecycle management, cost down strategies,and BOM optimization.
- Familiaritywith firmware flashing tools, basic embedded debug (e.g., seriallogs, GPIO), and validation steps.
- Hands-onexperience interacting withEMS vendorsandcomponentsuppliers.
- Strongcommunication skills to manage cross-functional coordination.
- Willingnessto travel to EMS and supplier sites as needed.
- Experienceincost downandvalue engineering.
Preferred (Nice toHave):
- Workingknowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP, or ISO/IATF processes.
- Familiaritywith compliance and safety standards (e.g., IEC, ISO26262 forfunctional safety).
