Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India in Bengaluru is seeking an Associate – India Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations for India-based employees, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. You will apply your knowledge of Workday and Dayforce, handle statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS), and collaborate with HR, Finance and external vendors to deliver reliable payroll service.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in India payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations and controls.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday and Dayforce.
  • Sound knowledge of Indian payroll statutory compliance and taxation.
  • Experience in payroll reconciliations, validations, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for India payroll within defined timelines.
  • Validate payroll inputs including new hires, exits, salary revisions, variable pay, bonuses, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
  • Perform Gross-to-Net (G2N) payroll validation to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Review payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before payroll finalization.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS, and other payroll-related requirements.
  • Support payroll audits and maintain payroll documentation and records.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, Tax, and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Utilize Workday and Dayforce systems for payroll input management, validation, reporting, and employee data administration.
  • Participate in payroll process improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, payroll policies, and compliance requirements.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate – India Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations for employees in India. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of payroll processing, statutory compliance, payroll validations, and HRIS/payroll systems such as Workday and Dayforce. The role requires the ability to handle complex payroll queries, ensure payroll accuracy, and deliver a high level of employee support.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations and payroll controls.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday and Dayforce.
  • Sound knowledge of Indian payroll statutory compliance and taxation.
  • Experience in payroll reconciliations, validations, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
