Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services seeks an accounts payable professional to manage banking payments across multiple portals and cross-currency settlements. You will ensure compliance with group policies and maintain robust audit trails.

The role requires familiarity with ERP and banking systems, swift messages, and a proactive approach to resolving queries while coordinating with internal teams and external providers.

Job Purpose

• Accounts Payable function within the Onecape HUB, to include Banking payments from different Bank portals and cross currency functions.
• Adhere to and promote group policies, processes and ethics and compliance practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter payments manually (from pre-existing templates / Internal transfers) into the online banking systems daily to meet agreed performance criteria. Preferably Citi Bank, HSBC & Danske Bank.
• Beneficiary template setup to use standard form of payments.
• Functionalities of in-depth Banking areas are must.
• Knowledge of payment swift messages like MT103, MT202, MT940 etc.
• Types & methods of funding methods in Banking platform.
• Swift payment integration between ERP and TMS. Preferably Unit 4 ERP and Kyriba TMS.
• Keep record of critical communication for audit trail and support auditors to go through the samples.
• Ensure Beneficiary Letter of Banking data provided meet acceptable criteria before setting up new templates for approval.
• Perform FX payments by coordinating with payment providers, follow up the rates and make settlement to FX providers.
• Provide swift copies / payment confirmations when required.
• Ensure all AP / Banking queries are resolved in a timely and efficient manner; with regular follow up to close matters.
• Follow rejected, returned / compliance payment process to ensure all parties are made aware to manage business expectations.
• Maintain working relationships internally with ISS service centers and colleagues in work location and maintain relationships with external customers.
• Keep superiors advised on any outstanding / performance issues relating to payment details.
• Ensure adherence to group policies on Treasury, Accounting, SOP’s, Internal Controls, Ethics & Compliance and HR
