PwC is seeking an experienced TCS BaNCS Functional Tester in Bangalore to join our payments testing practice. You will design and execute tests across payment journeys, interfaces, and reconciliation, ensuring quality releases and robust validation.

You will collaborate with business, development, and product teams to translate requirements into executable tests, manage defects, and support SIT/UAT and production validation.

Qualificações

• 3–8 years of functional testing experience in banking or payments.
• Experience with reconciliation and exception management.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messages and ISO 20022, payment lifecycles.
• Ability to create test scenarios and traceability.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira/ALM/Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a TCS BaNCS Functional Tester with strong payments domain knowledge and hands‑on experience in functional testing across payment journeys, interfaces, messaging, reconciliation, and defect management. The role requires the ability to understand end‑to‑end payment processing, translate business requirements into robust test scenarios, execute functional and integration testing, and support releases through defect closure and business validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and payment workflows within TCS BaNCS.


• Prepare and execute functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end test scenarios.


• Validate payment initiation, processing, status updates, exception handling, and reconciliation flows.


• Test interfaces and message‑based payment flows, including SWIFT and ISO 20022, where applicable.


• Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, requirements traceability, and test evidence.


• Log, analyse, prioritise, track, retest, and support closure of defects in coordination with business, development, and product teams.


• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release‑readiness activities, and production validation.


• Provide clear test status reporting, highlight risks and dependencies, and support stakeholder discussions.

• Defect logging, triage, retesting, and closure management


• Good analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills


• Knowledge of SWIFT messages and ISO 20022


• Exposure to domestic and cross‑border payments
