Job summary

PwC in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Senior Associate for data, analytics & AI. You will design and optimize Snowflake-based data warehouses, build scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights.

You will work with Python/SQL, cloud platforms, and modern ETL tools to solve complex business problems and enable data-driven decisions for clients and PwC teams.

Qualifications

• Relational databases, advanced SQL, and data warehousing basics.
• Python or JavaScript for data transformations and scripting.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 5–8 years of dedicated data engineering or Snowflake experience.
• Mandatory: Snowflake, Azure, Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust Snowflake data models and schemas.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines with Snowflake SQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Python or Snowpark.
• Monitor and tune data warehouses, storage, and queries for cost and speed.
• Implement RBAC, data masking, row-level security, and secure data sharing.
• Integrate Snowflake with AWS/Azure/GCP and ETL/ELT tools like dbt, Airflow, Matillion.

A Snowflake Developer or Data Engineer is responsible fordesigning, building, andoptimizingcloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions using the Snowflake platform. Professionals in this role focus on data ingestion, ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipeline creation, query performance tuning, and ensuring strict data security and governance.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Architecture:Design and implement robust data models and schemas within Snowflake.

• Pipeline Development:Build andmaintainscalable data pipelines using Snowflake SQL,Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Python, or Snowpark.

• Performance Optimization:Monitorand tune data warehouses, storage, and SQL queries for cost-efficiency and maximum speed.

• Data Security & Governance:Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data masking, row-level security, andmanagesecure data sharing.

• Integration:Work with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrate Snowflake with third-party ETL/ELT tools (e.g.,dbt, Airflow,Matillion).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Database & SQL Expertise:Deep understanding of relational databases, advanced SQL, and data warehousing principles.

• Programming Languages:Proficiencyin Python or JavaScript is typicallyrequiredfor advanced data transformations and scripting.

• Cloud Experience:Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
