Job summary

Robert Bosch Group in India seeks an Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer for Manufacturing Front Line Management. The role focuses on leading the plunger value stream, ensuring in-line production per safety and quality standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet plan delivery and material availability.

The position requires 2–5 years of shop floor management experience, strong communication in English (Kannada preferred), and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Shop floor Management or related role.
• Good communication: Presentation and command of English (Kannada preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive or Manufacturing industry (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing front line management for Plunger in the Value stream.
• Ensure manufacturing of product in-line with product liability principles.
• Associate management including headcount planning and shop floor discipline.
• Production management ensuring delivery as per plan, material availability, reporting, work allocation and tool & consumable management.
• Deviation reporting and management.
• Cooperation with cross functional departments.
• Estimation of employee requirements.
• Trouble shooting in operations management.
• Cooperation for audits (internal, external).
• Improve cost efficiency and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Data logging for management information.
• Ensure general conduct in line with safety and BOSCH guidelines and procedures.
• Knowledge on MSA, capability studies & SPC.
• Experience of Quality Systems, Shainin,Tools & Techniques.
• Knowledge on Quick changeover.
• Awareness of BOSCH & other control systems.
• Understanding of process specifications and conforming to standards.
• Identify and review improvement potential through change initiatives (e.g., BPS, CIP).
• Knowledge on I4.0, BPS, SAP and EWAK.
• Adherence to QMS Standards and inventory management.
