Job summary

The Marketing Poet in Kolkata is seeking a Creator Intern to develop and edit short-form video content for brands across lifestyle, D2C, fintech, and more. You will ideate, script, shoot, and edit Reels and short videos, staying on-trend without chasing every fad.

You’ll collaborate with strategy and copy teams to craft content that converts, with mentorship from the founder and a focus on building a portfolio you’ll be proud to share.

Qualifications

• Ideate and script Reels for TMP and clients.
• Comfortable on both sides of the camera.
• Know CapCut, Premiere, or other editing tools.

At The Marketing Poet, we build content that actually means something for brands across lifestyle, D2C, fintech, and more. We're a small, intentional team and we're bringing in a Creator Intern in Kolkata who lives and breathes short-form video.

What you'll be doing

• Ideating and scripting Reels for TMP and our clients
• Shooting and editing short-form video content (phone-first, always)
• Keeping up with trends without being a slave to them
• Collaborating with the strategy and copy team to make content that converts, not just entertains
• Contributing ideas in brainstorms like your opinion matters because here, it does

You're probably a fit if you

• Have a good eye and an even better instinct for what stops the scroll
• Are comfortable on both sides of the camera
• Know your way around CapCut, Premiere, or whatever editing tool you've made your own
• Can take a brief and run with it, but also know when to ask the right questions
• Are based in or can work with our team in Kolkata
