Job summary

SBI General Insurance is seeking an experienced claims professional to drive end-to-end claims processing in our Hyderabad operations. You will manage timely settlements, monitor metrics, and ensure adherence to SOPs.

The role emphasizes cost control, audit/compliance, and process efficiency, requiring vigilant risk assessment and collaboration with external surveyors to minimize leakage and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Claims processing experience with adherence to SLAs.
• Knowledge of motor claims process.
• Ability to work with external surveyors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Process claims and monitor outstanding claims to achieve defined metrics of the department.
• Monitor claims leakage and take necessary actions to minimize leakage.
• Survey and process motor claims intimated in the assigned location to settle within TAT.
• Contact every claimant to understand claims nature and update the same in the system.
• Follow loss minimization activities to reduce claims cost.
• Negotiate cost with the repairer in a just and fair manner to control cost with quality.
• Conduct stringent scrutiny of assessments for the claims assessed by external surveyors to avoid any false claims.
• Maintain strict adherence to approved financial authority for assessment, certification and claim approval.
• Audit Score (Internal and External).
• Assess and consider all kinds of risk to make informed decisions.
• Update the system of indemnity & expense reserves in system within TAT as prescribed in revised SOP to adhere to guidelines.
• Manage delivery order TATs as per agreed timelines and monitor the same for External surveyors.
• Perform cost control measures by strict scrutiny of the files received for processing, approving both internal assessors / external surveyors.
