Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking an Associate in Data, Analytics & AI to develop advanced ML and statistical models for healthcare problems, transform real-world data into scalable analytics solutions, and collaborate with global teams to influence product strategy.

You will mentor the data science team and stay current with ML advances, ensuring high-quality analytics deliverables across complex datasets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science or a related quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
• Solid grounding in statistical modeling, machine learning, and complex problem-solving techniques.
• Proven experience handling large, high-dimensional datasets and delivering clear, actionable insights.
• Experience with modern ML methods, including Transformers and NLP.
• Deep learning frameworks and architectures.
• Graph-based machine learning such as Graph Neural Networks.
• Familiarity with causal inference and decision-focused modeling is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
• Experience deploying models into production environments.
• Healthcare domain knowledge, particularly healthcare revenue cycle, is preferred.
