Job summary

MRF is seeking a Safety Executive to ensure statutory safety requirements, implement EHS policies, and lead internal audits. You will participate in incident investigations, assist in hazard analyses, and coordinate safety trainings and drills on the shop floor.

The role involves maintaining compliance with ISO 45001/14001, supporting emergency preparedness, and liaising with external agencies for testing and certification of safety-critical equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of statutory safety, environment, boiler, PESO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 compliance and organize internal audits.
• Support in implementing EHS policies, standards & procedures.
• Participate in incidents investigations to determine root causes
• Assist shop floor with Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
• Coordinate with shop floor staff to identify shortcuts & irritants
• Conduct Safety Audits & Inspections as per calendar
• Follow Safety Alerts/Initiatives across MRF
• Conduct Safety Induction Training for new joiners
• Prepare Safety Training Modules for in-house trainings
• Assist Emergency Preparedness Team during emergencies
• Lead Mock Drills per schedule
• Audit & inspect plant expansion activities
• Monitor toolbox meetings on shop floor
• Support in New machine inspection & certification
• Assist in SOP development
• Coordinate with external agencies for testing/certification of vessels, lifting tackles & tools
• Support National Safety Day etc. celebrations
• Knowledge of Work permit system and LOTOTO procedures

Job description

Role & responsibilities

The Safety Executive shall:

• Have knowledge on Statutory requirements related to Safety, Environment, Boiler, PESO etc.
• Ensure that ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standard requirements are compiled and also organize the internal audits as per the schedule
• Support in the implementation of Companys EHS Policies, Standards & Procedures.
• Participate in the investigation of incidents to determine root causes
• Support shop floor employees while they carry out Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
• Coordinate with employees working in the shop floor to identify Short Cuts & Irritants in their day to day activities
• Carry out Safety Audits & Safety Inspections as per the published calendar & monitor implementation of corrective actions
• Follow up on Safety Alerts / Safety Initiatives shared within MRF.
• Conduct Safety Induction Training for new joiners in the plant
• Prepare Safety Training Modules for in-house trainings
• Assume the assigned responsibility in Emergency Preparedness Team during various emergencies
• Take overall responsibility to conduct Mock Drills as per the schedule
• Audit & Inspect expansion activities carried out in the plant
• Monitor various toolbox meetings in the shop floor
• Support in New machine Inspection & certification as and when required
• Participate during the development of Standard Operating Procedures
• Coordinate with external agencies during Testing & Certification of Pressure Vessels, Lifting Tackles & Tools and work place monitoring etc.
• Extend support for organizing National Safety Day, World Environment Day, National Fire Safety Day and other similar celebrations
• Have good knowledge on Work permit system and LOTOTO procedure
• Have good knowledge on Fire safety

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Engg : (Mechanical / EEE / Industrial Safety)

Additional Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Industrial Safety Engineering recognized by Telangana State Technical Board.
