Job summary

Marsh in Gurugram is seeking a Lead Specialist - Investments in Private Markets Analytics to bolster investment decision-making through data reporting and analytics. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three days per week.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year in a lead/senior specialist role, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with private markets data sources. CFA/CAIA is preferred; familiarity with DealCloud is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as Lead specialist (D1) / Senior Specialist (C2).
• On-Track or equivalent rating in last appraisal.
• No performance counselling or disciplinary action in last 3 months.
• Not having applied for any other IJP in last 3 months.
• Broad understanding of sub-asset classes within private markets.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining entries on DealCloud (database).
• Pulling files from GP Datarooms for strategy review.
• Support IDD execution by reviewing materials for completeness and consistency against IDD checklists.
• Extract, clean, and standardize strategy, portfolio, and performance data.
• Perform analytics on track record, portfolio exposures, benchmarks, and peer comparisons.
• Conduct portfolio look-through support using underlying investment data where available.
• Support operational workflow for manager reviews, re-ups, and ad hoc diligence requests.
• Maintain documentation, version control, and audit trail for diligence workflows.

Lead Specialist - Investments - Private Markets Analytics (Manager Research)

Location - Gurgaon/ Noida

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our investments team, part of our people and investments business at Marsh. This role will be based in Gurugram. This role involves supporting investment decision-making through rigorous data reporting and analytics.

We will count on you to:

• Maintaining entries on DealCloud (database)
• Pulling files from GP Datarooms for strategy review
• Support Investment Due Diligence (IDD) execution by reviewing materials for completeness and consistency against IDD checklists
• Extract, clean, and standardize strategy, portfolio, and performance data
• Perform analytics on track record, portfolio exposures, benchmarks, and peer comparisons
• Conducting portfolio look-through support using underlying investment data where available
• Supporting operational workflow for manager reviews, re-ups, and ad hoc diligence requests
• Maintain documentation, version control, and audit trail for diligence workflows

What you need to have:

• Minimum 12 months experience as Lead specialist (D1) / Senior Specialist (C2)
• Should have at least "On-Track" or equivalent rating in last appraisal.
• Should not be under any Performance Counselling Plan or had any official disciplinary action within the last 3 months.
• Should not have applied for any other IJP in the last 3 months.
• Broader understanding of the different sub-asset classes within private markets.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to undertake complex data-driven projects
• Previous experience in investment analysis or quantitative research
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform analytics
• CFA/CAIA Charter holder and/or progress towards CFA/CAIA at advance levels is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills to present complex data clearly
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
