Job description

The ICU Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing critical care nursing, patient monitoring, medication administration, ventilator care support, emergency response, and ICU documentation at AIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience. The candidate should have strong clinical observation skills, patient safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced critical care environment.

• Provide bedside nursing care to ICU and critically ill patients.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen support, ventilator parameters, intake-output, and patient condition.
• Administer medicines, IV fluids, injections, infusions, and emergency drugs as prescribed.
• Assist intensivists and doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergency care.
• Maintain ICU charts, medication records, nursing notes, and shift handover documentation.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Respond immediately to alarms, code blue, and sudden patient deterioration.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
• Report abnormal vitals, critical findings, or patient safety concerns to seniors promptly.
• Maintain emergency trolley, ICU supplies, and equipment readiness.
• Support patient shifting, admission, transfer, and discharge coordination.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Follow hospital nursing SOPs and medication safety practices.
• Educate relatives as per hospital policy and senior guidance.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high‑quality ICU nursing care.
