Job summary

GSN Consulting is seeking an IBM Z Workload Scheduler (Migration EXP) expert for a leading MNC client, with 4+ years of experience. The role offers Chennai or Pune as work locations, is on-site, and follows a 9:00 AM–5:00 PM US Day Shift with on-call support.

You will drive migration projects, applying mainframe scheduling expertise (CA Workload Automation ESP, IZWS) to batch processing and workflow automation across z/OS environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of CA Workload Automation ESP and IZWS.
• Rexx and JCL scripting knowledge is mandatory.
• Experience in scheduler migration/conversion projects.
• Strong mainframe tech knowledge (z/OS, JCL, SMP/E).

Responsibilities

• Lead migration/conversion for IBM Z schedules.
• Validate parallel runs and production cutovers.
• Ensure batch processing and workflow automation reliability.

1. Strong hands‑on experience with Mainframe Scheduling tools, especially:
1. CA Workload Automation ESP
2. IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS)
2. Deep understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and workflow automation
3. Rexx and JCL scripting knowledge is mandatory
4. Expertise in scheduler migration/conversion projects
5. Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies (z/OS, JCL, SMP/E)

6. Experience in parallel run validation and production cutover processes
