Job summary

Teacher Pool seeks an experienced IB PYP Coordinator to lead curriculum implementation across grades in progressive international schools in India, including Chennai or Jaipur. You will mentor teachers, drive inquiry-based planning, and oversee assessments aligned with IB standards.

The role involves coordinating exhibitions, parent engagement, and supporting accreditation while collaborating with school leadership for ongoing curriculum improvement and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Must have IB PYP Coordinator Certification.
Experience teaching or coordinating within IB PYP framework.
Curriculum mapping and unit planning essential.
Mentoring and facilitating professional development.
Experience with IB programme evaluation and self-study tools.
Proficient in assessment for learning and rubric design.
Skilled in collaborative planning and team coaching.
Experience with IB Atlas or ManageBac required.
Preferred: non-residential school experience.
Familiarity with Indian national curriculum frameworks.
Workshop leader certification with IB preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and implement the IB PYP curriculum across grade levels aligning with IB standards.
Coach teachers on transdisciplinary learning, assessment strategies, and inquiry-based pedagogy.
Facilitate planning sessions, moderation of assessments, and reflective practice among teams.
Coordinate PYP exhibitions, student-led conferences, and parent engagement activities.
Support accreditation processes by maintaining documentation and leading internal reviews.
Partner with Head of School to drive curriculum improvements and school-wide PD.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead and implement the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum across grade levels, ensuring alignment with IB philosophy and standards.
Coach and mentor homeroom and specialist teachers on transdisciplinary learning, assessment strategies, and inquiry-based pedagogy.
Facilitate collaborative planning sessions, moderation of assessments, and reflective practice among teaching teams.
Coordinate PYP exhibitions, student-led conferences, and parent engagement initiatives to showcase learner agency and growth.
Support school accreditation and authorization processes by maintaining documentation, leading internal reviews, and managing IB submissions.
Partner with the Head of School and leadership team to drive continuous curriculum improvement and school-wide professional development.
