Overview

We are seeking an experienced Secondary GP and History Teacher to deliver high-quality, inquiry-driven, and concept-based learning aligned with Cambridge and IBDP frameworks. The role focuses on fostering critical thinking, global awareness, and academic excellence while supporting the holistic development and wellbeing of students. The teacher will collaborate closely with subject teams, coordinators, student support services, and parents to maintain rigorous academic standards and contribute positively to the school’s learning culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with Cambridge and IBDP curriculum frameworks
• Apply inquiry-based, concept-driven, interdisciplinary teaching practices
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learner needs
• Integrate appropriate technology, resources, and learning materials
• Contribute to curriculum planning, review, and innovation
• Design and implement formative, summative, and reflective assessments
• Monitor, document, and report student progress using trackers, portfolios, and reports
• Analyse student performance data to inform instruction and interventions
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth
• Collaborate with subject teams, coordinators, and support staff
• Participate actively in grade-level, subject, and whole-school meetings
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to professional learning communities
• Act as a homeroom or advisory teacher supporting student wellbeing and pastoral care
• Supervise students during classes, activities, trips, and school events
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Build strong partnerships with parents through regular communication

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification
• Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject area
• Minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience at secondary level
• Proven experience teaching IGCSE and or IBDP curriculum
• Strong understanding of Cambridge and IB frameworks and assessment practices
• Experience in lesson planning, assessment design, and classroom management
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to student wellbeing, inclusivity, and international mindedness

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Additional certification or training in Cambridge or IBDP frameworks
• Experience as an IB or Cambridge examiner
• Exposure to Extended Essay, Internal Assessment, CAS, or TOK supervision
• Experience in international school environments
• Involvement in curriculum development or school accreditation processes
• Leadership or mentoring experience within academic teams
