Job summary

Egis Road Operation India invites an experienced civil/environmental engineer to join our Bengaluru team. You will lead hydraulic design of sewer networks, pumping stations, and STPs, and perform related calculations and design deliverables.

You will prepare PFDs/P&IDs, size components, and contribute to DBR, technical specifications, and tender drawings, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Public Health Engineering.
• Experience in hydraulic design of sewer networks and STPs.
• Ability to prepare DBR, PFDs, P&IDs and tender drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic design of sewerage collection networks, rising mains and pumping stations.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations using Manning's equation and related methods.
• Design sewer sizes, slopes, flow velocities and hydraulic profiles; prepare L-Sections and HGLs.
• Analyze wet weather flow, infiltration and inflow; design pumping systems and head calculations.

About The Role

• Perform hydraulic design of:
  • Sewerage collection networks
  • Rising mains and gravity sewer systems
  • Pumping stations
  • Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs)
• Hydraulic calculations using Manning's equation and other relevant methods.
• Design sewer sizes, slopes, flow velocities and hydraulic profiles.
• Prepare Longitudinal Sections (L-Sections) and hydraulic grade lines.
• Analyze wet weather flow, infiltration and inflow.
• Design pumping systems and pump head calculations.

Process Design

• Prepare process design calculations for STPs.
• Selection and sizing of:
  • Screens
  • Grit Chambers
  • Equalization Tanks
  • Primary Clarifiers
  • Biological Reactors (ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR etc.)
  • Secondary Clarifiers
  • Tertiary Treatment Units
  • Sludge Handling Systems
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
• Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Design sludge treatment and reuse systems.
• Prepare mass balance and hydraulic calculations.
