Job summary

Egis in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Engineer (Drainage) to lead drainage design and hydraulic modelling across road, rail, and urban projects. You will prepare specifications, BOQs, data sheets, and contribute to tender documentation.

With 10–12 years of hands-on drainage experience and proficiency in Bentley SewerGEMS, Inforworks, AutoCAD/Civil3D, you will mentor junior staff, present technical details, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate in Hydraulics/ Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferably

Responsibilities

• Produce detail designs from concept to IFC for drainage on roads, highways, and railways.
• Undertake hydraulic models using modelling software and spreadsheets.
• Design drainage/culvert networks and prepare project data sheets, BOQs, and tender docs.
• Carry out drainage master planning and design of pumping stations and tanks.
• Perform system performance analysis and scenario planning using hydraulic models.
• Prepare reports suitable for client review and presentations.
• Contribute to project activity inputs like fee estimation and scoping.
• Work in a team to ensure high-quality deliverables and maintain project documentation.

Job Description- Senior Engineer (Drainage)

Responsibilities:

• Producing detail designs, concept stage to IFC stage for drainage on Road/Highways, Railways etc.
• Undertake hydraulic models using a range of modelling software and other tools including spreadsheets.
• Hydraulic modelling and design of drainage/culvert infrastructure open drainage/ditches/piped networks.
• Preparation of project specifications, bill of quantities and tender documentation, Data sheets.
• Drainage master planning.
• Drainage pumping stations/Tanks.
• Carry out system performance analysis, development assessment and operational scenario planning using hydraulic models and other tools as required.
• Prepare report for modelling projects suitable for review and client presentation.
• Provide input into project activities, including fee estimating and scoping of projects.
• Work proactively within a team to ensure the production of quality deliverables.
• Preparation of Specifications, Data sheets

• Skilled in hydraulic model build, verification and calibration using hydraulic modelling tools.
• Experience in the design drainage network designs.
• Knowledge and understanding of international codes and standards.
• Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
• Good report writing skills.
