Job summary

KEC International Mumbai seeks an experienced HVAC engineer to lead design-to-execution for multiple turnkey projects.

Role involves designing HVAC systems, performing heat-load calculations, sizing equipment, and developing ducting and piping layouts, with coordination across architectural and structural teams.

Applicants should have 7+ years in HVAC turnkey projects, proficiency with HAP, AutoCAD and BIM/Revit, and a strong track record of energy efficiency and code compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in HVAC turnkey projects from design to execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, manage and deliver multiple HVAC projects.

• Maintain compliance with ASHRAE/ISHRAE/NBC/SMACNA codes and standards.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot HVAC issues and optimize performance.

• Review shop drawings for coordination with other disciplines.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Candidate must have skills to design, plan, manage and deliver multiple projects
2. Candidate must have 7+ years experience in HVAC turnkey projects involving complete life cycle of the project from designing to execution.
3. Candidate must have experience in HVAC Detail design, HVAC calculations for diversified projects like Data center, Residential and commercial buildings, etc.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
5. Demonstrated proficiency in HVAC design softwares like HAP, Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
6. Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment especially coordinating with Architectural and Structural designers
7. Ability to optimize designs with a creative and innovative approaches

Preferred candidate profile:

1. Designing HVAC Systems: This involves determining heating and cooling loads, selecting appropriate equipment such as boilers, furnaces, chillers, air handling units, and fans, and designing the layout of ductwork and chilled water piping systems / Refrigerant piping system.
2. Energy Efficiency Optimization: Optimize energy efficiency in buildings by selecting energy-efficient equipment and designing systems that minimize energy consumption while maintaining comfort levels.
3. Review Shop drawing in conjunction with the Architectural, Structural and Electrical/PHE/Fire fighting drawings to ensure engineering coordination
4. Calculating Heat Loads: Calculate the heating and cooling loads for buildings based on factors such as building size, occupancy, orientation, insulation, and climate conditions.
5. System Sizing and Equipment Selection: Based on load calculations and other parameters, Selecting appropriately sized equipment and components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
6. Ductwork and Piping Design: Design the layout of ductwork and piping systems to distribute heated or cooled air throughout the building efficiently and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
7. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation required for the installation and operation of HVAC systems.
8. Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure that HVAC systems comply with relevant building codes like ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, SMACNA etc and other environmental regulations/ industry standards.
9. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to HVAC systems and develop solutions to address performance problems or inefficiencies
