Job summary

Axium Global is seeking an HVAC Fabrication Detailer to produce accurate coordinated, fabrication-ready models, shop drawings and installation drawings for HVAC ductwork and related mechanical services.

The role requires strong knowledge of Australian drafting standards, HVAC fabrication practices, coordination with other building services, and proficiency in Autodesk Fabrication software. You will join the MEP Team at Axium Global’s Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech mechanical engineering or Diploma in a related field.
• ITI/NCTVT certified HVAC draftsman with relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in MEP design, specifically HVAC systems; BIM proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Model HVAC ductwork based on categories and project requirements.
• Prepare duct layouts, fittings, transitions and other fabrication components.
• Produce fabrication-ready shop drawings for manufacturing and installation.
• Create spool drawings, assembly drawings, installation drawings and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Develop coordinated 3D BIM models and ensure model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors for seamless integration of HVAC designs.

Job Description

The HVAC Fabrication Detailerisresponsible forproducingaccurateCoordinated, and fabrication-readymodels, shop drawings and installation drawings for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) ductwork and associated mechanical services. The rolerequires strong knowledge of Australian drafting standards, HVAC fabricationpractices, coordination with other building servicesandproficiencyin Autodesk fabrication software.

The detailer will convert engineering designsinto fabrication-ready models and shop drawings suitable for manufacturing,spool drawing, installation documentation and site coordination while ensuringcompliance with Australian Standards, project specifications and clientrequirements.The HVAC Fabrication Detailer is also responsiblefor ensuring that all models and drawings comply with relevant AustralianStandards, project specifications, client requirements, BIM standards, andfabrication procedures, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality,and consistency and requires a high degree of technical proficiency in BIMsoftware and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholdersthroughout the project lifecycle

This position involves working within the MEPTeam at Axium Global’s Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai. The team consists ofskilled professionals, including BIM designers, mechanical, electrical andplumbing engineers with varied experience. The HVAC Duct Fabricator will beresponsible for creating accurate fabricationand installation drawings for HVAC ductwork for various projects and will be workingdirectly with leading MEP design consulting firms from Australia on flagshipprojects.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Model HVAC ductwork based on duct categories,fabrication specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare ductwork layouts, fittings,transitions, connections, and other fabrication components.
• Producefabrication-ready shop drawings for manufacturing.
• Generate spooldrawings, assemblydrawings, installation drawings and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Develop coordinated3D BIM models.
• Createfabrication-ready hangers and support layouts wererequired.
• Produce penetrationandbuilder’swork drawings.
• Generate coordinatedceiling service layouts.
• Participate in clashdetection using Navisworks.
• Utilize Revizto formodel coordination, issue tracking, markup, and communication.
• Review and resolve clashes and coordinationissues prior to fabrication and installation.
• Update fabricationmodels based on site conditions, RFIs, design changes, andconstruction requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, andcontractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC designs with other MEPdisciplines, as well as structural and architectural components
• Ability to understand various MEP drawings /Plans / Sections / Schematic / Standards
• Prepare detailed design documentation,including specifications, drawings and layout plans
• Assist in the development of projectdocumentation and reports, providing insights related to HVAC system design andperformance
• Ability to learn and implement variousservices standards and building codes
• Ability to learn and implementproject-specific standards, specifications, modelling requirements, andworkflows.
• Stay current with industry trends,technologies and software related to BIM and HVAC design
• Ensure all drawingscomplywithproject standards.
• Maintain modelaccuracy and drawing quality throughout project lifecycle.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• BE/BTech mechanical engineering orDiploma in a related field
• ITI/NCTVT certified HVAC draftsmanwith relevant experience
• 3-5 years of experience in MEPdesign, specifically focusing on HVAC systems (Preferred Australian projectexperience) proficiency in BIM methodologies is essential
