Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimation Engineer in Chennai to manage cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for major projects.

You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, coordinate with design and procurement, and seek cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with project specs and client requirements. Experience in MEP contracting and large-scale build projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems in construction projects.
• Review HVAC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, insulation, and accessories.
• Estimate costs for materials, labour, equipment, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Prepare BOQs, rate analysis, and cost comparison statements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, project, and commercial teams for clarifications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials without compromising quality.
• Prepare tender submissions and ensure estimates are submitted within deadlines.
• Support budget preparation, cost control, and variation estimates.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and HVAC standards.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Estimation Engineer for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing HVAC cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, and tender submissions, ensuring accurate costing and competitive bids for HVAC systems.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• Relevant experience in HVAC estimation for construction, commercial buildings, residential buildings, hospitals, hotels, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in MEP contracting and large-scale construction projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, and ventilation systems.
• Experience in HVAC quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Knowledge of HVAC materials, installation methods, and costing.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and technical specifications.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills.
