Leading HVAC Projects Company in Guindy, Chennai, is seeking an HVAC Estimation Engineer to prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for commercial, industrial, and institutional HVAC projects.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HVAC estimation experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP or estimation software. This on-site role offers growth opportunities and immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in HVAC estimation for commercial/industrial/institutional projects.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP or estimation software is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimation & costing: review drawings, BOQs, and tender documents to define project scope for HVAC systems.

*About the Role We are a leading HVAC projects company executing commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across Chennai. We’re looking for a detail-oriented HVAC Estimation Engineer based in Guindy to prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions. You’ll work closely with sales, design, and project teams to win projects while maintaining profitability.

*Key Responsibilities1. Estimation & Costing – Review client drawings, specs, BOQs, and tender documents to understand project scope for HVAC systems.

• Prepare detailed material take-off, equipment sizing, and BOQ for AHU, ducting, piping, chillers, VRF, pumps, insulation, etc.
• Source vendor quotations and negotiate for best pricing without compromising quality.
• Calculate labor, subcontractor, and overhead costs to prepare competitive bids.

2. Tendering & Proposals – Compile technical commercial proposals with clear scope of work, exclusions, and terms.

• Support pre-bid meetings and site visits to clarify scope with clients/consultants.
• Ensure estimates meet project timelines, specs, and company margin targets.

3. Technical Analysis – Check design feasibility, load calculations, and specifications for compliance.

• Coordinate with design/engineering team for duct sizing, equipment selection, and layout optimization.
• Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value-engineering options.

4. Documentation & Reporting – Maintain an estimation database for rates, vendor pricing, and past project benchmarks.

• Update CRM/ERP with bid status, revisions, and follow-ups.
• Hand over awarded projects with detailed cost breakdown to execution team.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have: – 3–5 years experience in HVAC estimation for projects — commercial/industrial/institutional preferred.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems: Ducting, AHU, Chillers, VRF/VRV, Pumps, Insulation, BMS.
• Proficiency in reading architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good Excel skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or estimation software like FastEST/Quotesoft is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Good to Have: – Experience with Guindy/Chennai clients, consultants, and contractor market rates.

• Understanding of ISHRAE standards and local codes.
