Job summary

Bharti AXA Life Insurance is seeking an HR Tech Specialist to own and optimize the Darwin Box platform across Core HR, Leave & Attendance, Payroll, Performance, and Talent Acquisition. You will design complex HR workflows, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with IT for seamless integrations via APIs or SFTP.

Your role includes reporting, analytics, and user training to drive platform adoption and realisation of HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, CS, or related field.
• 2–5 years in HR technology, HRIS support, or HR operations.
• Experience with Darwinbox and HR analytics is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll, compliance and Indian payrolls.

Responsibilities

• System Configuration & Administration: Manage end-to-end configuration of Darwinbox modules.
• Workflow Design: Build, test and optimize multi-level workflows and RBAC permissions.
• Data Management & Governance: Data imports/exports and data integrity audits.
• Third-Party Integrations: Collaborate on API/SFTP integrations with vendors.
• Feature Adoption & Release Management: Track Darwinbox updates and validate features.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated HR Tech Specialist to own, configure, and maximize our Darwin Box platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between human resources and technology. You will oversee system administration, deploy new modules, build approval workflows, and ensure the entire employee lifecycle—from hire to retire is seamlessly mapped into the system. The ideal candidate has deep functional expertise in Darwin Box, a strong grip on HR workflows, and the data-driven mindset needed to generate impactful HR analytics.

Responsibilities:

• System Configuration & Administration: Manage end-to-end configuration, adjustments, and maintenance of all Darwinbox modules, including Core HR, Leave & Attendance, Payroll, Performance Management, and Talent Acquisition.
• Workflow Design: Build, test, and optimize complex, multi-level business workflows, approval matrices, and role-based access control (RBAC) security permissions.
• Data Management & Governance: Execute bulk data imports, exports, and schema updates. Establish strict data quality cadences and conduct continuous system audits alongside HR Operations to guarantee 100% data integrity.
• Third-Party Integrations: Collaborate with IT and external tech vendors to implement and troubleshoot system integrations (via APIs or SFTP) for tools like biometric scanners, benefit platforms, and financial software.
• Feature Adoption & Release Management: Stay up to date with Darwinbox’s periodic product releases (/Darwinbox updates). Evaluate new features, run regression testing, and roll them out to the wider organization.
• Reporting & Analytics: Design, build, and distribute robust operational dashboards and standard HR analytics for team leads, business managers, and executive leadership.
• User Training & Support: Serve as the primary Tier-2 support for end-user system issues. Conduct training sessions and create documentation to maintain high platform adoption across the organization.

Qualification & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in HR technology, HRIS support, or HR operations. Prior exposure to the insurance or financial services sector is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

• For Integrations: Webhooks, REST API mapping, Zapier / Make / Workato, Setting up Darwinbox native AI & Marketplace connectors (TruBlu)
• Custom BOTS: Google Apps Script, Google Chat API, Google Cloud Functions
• Dashboards /analytics: Looker Studio, BigQuery, SQL, Advanced Google Sheets

Platform Certifications: A Darwinbox Certified HR Tech Specialist or equivalent functional certification is highly preferred.

Data Skills: Basic Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Cleaning) for managing heavy HR master sheets and migration data sets.

Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of core HR policies, compliance requirements, statutory components of Indian/regional payrolls, and talent lifecycle operations.

Problem Solving: Ability to take a qualitative HR request (e.g., \"we need a new variable pay structure\") and logically translate it into a structured system workflow configuration
