The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic, consultative HR services to leadership, managers, and employees. Collaborates with leadership on culture-building strategies, and long-term workforce planning to support recruitment, engagement, and retention. Works to identify, establish, and track key HR metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, organizational competency gaps, and provide analysis for strategic decision-making. Monitors functional team deliverables, engages in problem resolution and contributes to process improvement. Collaborates with DHHS HR Leadership and Operational Services on change management, efficiencies, and key HR initiatives.

The Division of Human Resources (DHR) provides strategic and operational leadership for DHHS human capital management, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, job evaluation, salary administration, benefits, workers' compensation, safety, and staff development.
DHHS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.
