Job summary

TaskUs in Navi Mumbai is seeking an HR Generalist to serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managing day-to-day HR operations and labor relations.

You will oversee disciplinary processes, background verifications, and HR programs while ensuring compliance with local laws. The role requires discretion, integrity, and strong communication to support a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience, preferably as a Generalist.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and labor regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience in BPO is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle due process documents and admin hearings.
• Conduct background checks and employee verifications.
• Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters and performance management.
• Address inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors.
• Attend disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
• Maintain compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
• Keep abreast of HR trends and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What does an HR Generalist really do? Think of yourself as the primary person who will be in charge of taking care of the employees,

Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: you want to make a change. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: that you will be in charge of Employee or Labor Relations.

As a HR Generalist, you will:

• Handle due process documents and proceedings such as admin hearings, and the like
• Conduct or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintain compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
