Qualifications

That means you will ensure that facilities provided are well maintained, regulation/procedure are in place and implemented, hazards/aspects assessments are conducted, the accident both caused by unsafe acts and conditions are reduced and energy and waste are driven down.**How you will contribute**You will:* Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents* Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes* Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances* Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities* Follow up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis* Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence* Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards`**What you will bring**A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:* Experience in Environmental Health and Safety* Must have completed Environmental Health and Safety training in areas such as OSHA, EPA, DNREC* Experience in safety, and/or environmental technical standards* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels* Understanding and knowledge of regulatory reports and compliances including experience with ISO**More about this role** **What you need to know about this position:**EHS Management & Compliance:* Develop, implement, and maintain robust EHS management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001* Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements (Factories Act, PESO, CPCB/SPCB, NBC, IS standards)* Track and ensure timely closure of all legal compliances and statutory reporting* Maintain and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and environmental permitsRisk Assessment & Incident Management:* Lead hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HAZOP and other relevant studies* Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses; drive CAPA implementation* Develop and maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system* Implement Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programsSafety Programs & Training:* Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for employees and contractors (LOTO, confined space, work at height, hot work, electrical safety, machine safety, fire safety)* Conduct safety inductions for new joiners and visitors* Lead safety campaigns and awareness programs across the siteMachine & Process Safety:* Implement machine safety systems per ISO 12100 / ISO 13849 standards* Conduct machine risk assessments and ensure appropriate guarding and safety devices* Oversee safe commissioning of new equipment and processesAuditing & Continuous Improvement:* Plan and conduct internal EHS audits; support external and corporate audits* Monitor and report EHS KPIs and KAIs; maintain safety dashboards and communication boards* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve Zero Harm culture* Benchmark LTIFR and other metrics; implement data-driven improvement programsEmergency Preparedness:* Develop and maintain Emergency Preparedness & Response Plans* Conduct regular mock drills (fire, chemical spill, evacuation); record findings and implement CAPA* Maintain fire safety systems (hydrants, extinguishers, smoke detectors, sprinklers)* Maintain safety equipment inventoryEnvironmental Management:* Monitor and manage environmental aspects – waste management, emissions, effluent compliance* Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting* Maintain site environmental programs and permitsStakeholder Engagement:* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and corporate EHS teams* Lead monthly HSE meetings; share best practices and learnings* Provide HSE expertise for new projects and change management activities* Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors **What extra ingredients you will bring:** * Strong knowledge of EHS management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)* Proficiency in EHS digital tools (Enablon, Gensuite, SAP EHS or equivalent)* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills* Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels* Leadership and team management capabilities* Contractor safety management experience* Knowledge of AI-based safety applications is a plus**Personal Attributes*** Self-starter with high energy and ownership mindset* Visible safety leadership and culture ambassador* Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment* Ability to create partnerships, teamwork, culture ambassador Industry Preference: CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or Food Industry experience preferredHands-on experience in managing HSE programs at manufacturing / R&D / pilot plant sitesExperience in greenfield / brownfield project commissioning is a plus**Education / Certifications:** Graduation: B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (primary preference) from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 institute with a high CGPAPost-Graduation: M.Tech in Industrial Safety from UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies) **Certifications (Preferred)*** ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (BSI / LRQA or equivalent)* ISO 14001 Lead Auditor* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) from BCSP* NEBOSH IGC* Certified First Aider* Process Safety Management certificationWithin Country Relocation support available and for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
