Main Purpose
The HRIS & Workday Integrations Lead will be responsible for leading the global HRIS function, overseeing the design, configuration, governance, support, and continuous improvement of Workday and related HR technologies across the organization. This role acts as both a strategic and technical leader, managing HR systems operations, leading a team of HRIS analysts, and ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient integration solutions between Workday and internal / external systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of HRIS and Workday functionalities and integrations across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (IT, HR, external vendors) to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly to minimize disruption to HR operations and maintain data integrity.
- Manage the full lifecycle of HRIS projects, including implementations, upgrades, and system integrations, from requirements gathering through deployment and post‑launch support.
- Lead the integration work stream on Workday projects and oversee integration deliverables.
- Create, modify and map data elements to/from Workday data sources.
- Stay current on industry trends, Workday Community features and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations and processes.
- Provide expert guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on HRIS and Workday integration best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies related to HR data security and privacy.
- Monitor system performance and recommend continuous improvements to optimize integration efficiency.
- Manage the HRIS budget, including planning, forecasting, vendor cost management, and tracking against approved budgets.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure budget utilization aligns with business priorities and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical/computers or relevant field of study.
- Minimum 6–8 years of Workday experience, including at least 2 years developing Workday integrations using at least three of the following: Web Services (REST/SOAP), XML, XSLT, Workday Studio, Workday Cloud Connect.
- Proven experience leading HRIS teams and global HR technology initiatives.
- Experience configuring security and tenant setup.
- Experience in software development, maintenance and project management of software systems.
- Demonstrated integration experience in HR domains such as Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.
- Deep knowledge of service‑oriented architecture design principles, ERP integration patterns, and Workday integration technologies and implementation methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage details and priorities in a fast‑paced, Agile environment with weekly releases.
- Initiative, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, quick learning, and creative problem solving.
