Job summary

Thecoolhuts in Goa is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily cleaning, inspection and preparation of guest rooms for arrivals and departures. You will allocate duties, monitor quality, and ensure linen and supplies are managed efficiently while coordinating with reception and other departments.

The ideal candidate has hotel/resort housekeeping experience, supervisory skills, and a strong eye for room-cleaning standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel/resort housekeeping.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of room-cleaning and inspection standards.
• Good organisational and staff-management skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays during the season.
• Must be comfortable working hands-on in a small resort.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cleaning and preparation of guest rooms
• Inspect rooms before check-in and ensure required standards are met
• Allocate housekeeping duties and monitor completion
• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas and outdoor guest areas
• Manage linen, towels, amenities and housekeeping supplies
• Maintain housekeeping registers and stock records
• Coordinate laundry, ironing and linen movement
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues
• Ensure rooms are prepared on time according to arrivals and departures
• Train and guide housekeeping staff
• Monitor hygiene, grooming and work discipline
• Coordinate with Reception and other departments regarding room status and guest requirements
• Personally assist with housekeeping work whenever required
