Job summary

Firstmeridian Global Services in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Horticulture Supervisor to plan, supervise, and optimize planting, cultivation, pruning, watering and maintenance across our landscapes.

The role requires deep knowledge of plant varieties, soil, irrigation, fertilizers, pest and disease management, plus strong leadership to manage gardeners and field staff while ensuring safety and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Horticulture field.
• 25 years of relevant experience in horticulture, landscaping, nursery management, farm management, or protected cultivation.
• Good knowledge of plant varieties, soil, irrigation, fertilizers, and pest/disease management.
• Strong supervisory and team-management skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors and supervise field activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise planting, cultivation, pruning, watering, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor plant health and identify pests, diseases, nutritional deficiencies, and other issues.
• Recommend appropriate fertilizers, pesticides, nutrients, and plant-care methods.
• Manage soil preparation, irrigation, fertilization, and seasonal planting schedules.Select suitable plants, seeds, saplings, and other planting materials.
• Supervise gardeners, field workers, and other horticulture staff.
• Maintain lawns, ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, nurseries, and landscaped areas.
• Maintain records of plants, fertilizers, pesticides, inventory, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, fertilizers, and chemicals following safety practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for plants, gardening materials, and equipment.
