Job summary

JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd is seeking a qualified professional for vehicle homologation. You will oversee detailed homologation planning, coordinate with government agencies, and ensure compliance with AIS/IS standards and CMV rules while aligning with project milestones.

You will also manage testing, documentation, and cross-functional reviews to validate safety and regulatory adherence across vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AIS 007 and CMV rules.
• Experience coordinating with government authorities for homologation.
• Ability to document test results and compile test reports.
• Understanding of domestic automotive regulations and upcoming changes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed homologation plan and ensure adherence.

Job description

Homologation of Vehicle

• Developing detailed Homologation plan.
• Knowledge and Interpersonal skill of Indian Automotive standards. (AIS, IS etc)
• Knowledge Vehicle Testing & Certification for compliance to CMV Rules.
• Coordination with External Govt agencies for homologation.
• Knowledge of upcoming Domestic Regulation

Budget Forecasting

• Forecasting the budget for test plan as per the project deliverables

Testing of Vehicle

• Conducting safety tests both in-house and at test labs
• Co-ordination of vehicle and material & logistics with internal and external stake holders related to Certification.
• Involved in different type of testing like Performance, System and Installation etc

Documentation

• Knowledge of Technical Specification data required as per AIS 007.
• Develop methods for documentation of test results and document tests run and issues identified in test reports.

Involvement in Cross Functional departmental activities related to testing

• Coordination with the Internal engineering team to validate the performance of the vehicle.
• Participate in detailed design reviews of vehicle systems and in program reviews to provide feedback on vehicle safety performance to release or hold product for production

Preferred candidate profile

• Skills and Knowledge: Good Interpersonal and Communication skills. Knowledge about complete Regulations and Homologation process. Co-ordination with Test Agencies etc.
• Expert in Vehicle and Component Homologation along with COP of vehicles on-time. Exposure to Cross-functional and multi-cultural working environment.
• Good Team Player and quick decision making skills
