Role Overview
The role involves handling and supervisingtower crane erection, installation, commissioning, maintenance, operation support, climbing, shifting, and dismantling activitiesat project sites.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience withTower Cranes, Luffing Jib Cranes, Flat Top Cranes, and Hammerhead/Cat-head Cranes, along with strong electrical troubleshooting and site coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise tower craneerection, commissioning, maintenance, climbing, shifting, and dismantlingactivities.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning checks.
- Diagnose and coordinate rectification ofelectrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
- Troubleshoot crane electrical control systems, limit switches, safety devices, and control panels.
- Ensure proper functioning ofLoad Moment Limiter, Overload Limiter, Height Limiter, Anti-Collision System, Anemometer, and other safety systems.
- Monitor preventive maintenance and breakdown activities to ensure maximum crane uptime.
- Coordinate withoperators, riggers, erection teams, project engineers, technicians, and client representatives.
- Coordinate climbing/height enhancement and shifting activities.
- Maintain inspection, maintenance, breakdown, and crane status reports.
- Ensure availability of critical electrical spares, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, lifting plans, and company SOPs.
- Coordinate with third‑party inspection agencies wherever required.
- Support breakdown investigation and prepare basic root‑cause analysis reports.
Requirements
- 8–15 years of relevant experiencein Tower Crane operations, erection, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands‑on experience withTower Cranes / Luffing Jib / Flat Top / Hammerhead Cranes.
- Good knowledge ofelectrical control systems, panels, motors, drives, sensors, limit switches, and safety systems.
- Exposure to mechanical and hydraulic crane systems will be preferred.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Good understanding ofhoisting, slewing, trolley mechanisms, climbing systems, and anti‑collision systems.
- Strong site coordination and team‑handling skills.
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
