Job summary

Optimum Solutions in Chennai is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design and build components and microservices for payments and cash management. You will participate in an agile setup, mentor juniors, and contribute to scalable software delivery.

The role requires strong Java expertise, RESTful API design, and experience with CI/CD, Git, and Maven. Knowledge of Oracle, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is a plus in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience with Core Java (Java 17+) and Advanced Java (Collections, Multi-threading, Serialization, and Memory Management).
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices using JSON and XML.
• Proficient in persistence frameworks (JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, T-SQL) with a focus on data integrity and transactional consistency.
• Mastery of Git and Maven for streamlined development workflows.
• Experience with Unit testing frameworks and tools with rigorous approach to code quality and security scanning tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure rapid, reliable deployment in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools for coding and testing, with disciplined focus on responsible AI usage to protect proprietary code and sensitive financial data.
• Nice to have - Cloud platforms (IBM Cloud), Docker, Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures; API security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS).
