Job summary

Sperton is seeking an experienced embedded systems engineer to design and develop hardware and firmware for medical devices. The role requires strong analog/digital design skills, schematic capture, and board layout, plus hands-on testing of prototypes and reliability validation.

Preference will be given to candidates with medical domain experience and knowledge of common protocols like WIFI, USB, and Bluetooth.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in medical domain.
• Design and develop embedded systems for our products both Hardware and Firmware.
• Knowledge of analog and digital design including schematic capture and board layout.
• C programming or embedded systems certification.
• Prototype testing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded systems for products (hardware and firmware).
• Learn and apply analog/digital design including schematic capture and board layout.
• Work with common communication protocols (WIFI, USB, Bluetooth).
• Prototype testing and validation of embedded systems.
• Develop test specifications and procedures for product validation.
• Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and assist in mass production readiness.
• Train and guide a team of technicians and engineers in schema design, layout, testing, and reliability.

Job description

Must have experience in medical domain

• Design and develop embedded systems for our products both Hardware and Firmware
• Detailed knowledge of analog and digital design including schema c capture and board layout
• Learn common electronic communication protocols (such as WIFI, USB, Bluetooth)
• Good amount of core experience in the field of embedded systems design and programming or must have completed 6months certified course in C programming / Embedded systems
• Prototype testing and analysis
• Programming and debugging embedded systems firmware
• Development of product on test specifications and procedures
• Prepare on of bill of materials
• Train & guide a team of hardware technicians & Firmware engineers for product development in terms of schema c, layout design, sample testing, reliability testing, Firmware development before field trials & mass production
• Use of simulation software's to validate circuits
• Perform the design robustness analyses (FMEA, Product Risk Analysis)
• Help testing team conduct tests @ Labs for EMI, EMC, IEC, CE compliance
• Help Develop the documenta on necessary for product certifications US FDA / CE Marking
• Participate to create prototype & reliability tests
