Job summary

Alten in India (Chennai) is seeking an experienced Embedded Test Engineer to analyze Ford specifications and automate test cases using CAPL and Python. You will support Component HIL testing and coordinate defect handling in Jira, working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires 4–6 years of relevant experience and a strong background in embedded systems, CAN/LIN, Ethernet, DoIP and UDS.

Qualifications

• Academic Qualification: BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MS in Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics.
• Experience: 4–6 years in automotive embedded systems.
• Domain knowledge: XCP/ISO26262/ISO14229, CAN/LIN, SOME/IP, Ethernet, ADAS, UDS.
• Strong understanding of embedded system concepts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system/functional requirements per Ford specifications and seek clarifications as needed.
• Automate test cases using CAPL and Python.
• Support Component HIL Testing.
• Raise identified failures in Jira and assist with retesting until fixed.
• Participate in weekly review meetings.
• Support other project process activities.
• Understand low-level embedded system concepts.

Job Description

Key Responsibility

• Analyzing the system/functional requirement which are in Ford Specifications and getting the questions clarified if any
• Automate the developed testcases using test libraries in CAPL/PYTHON
• Support Component HIL Testing
• Raise the identified failures in Jira and support the retesting the issue untill it is fixed
• Participate in the weekly review meetings
• Support the other project process activities
• Should able to understand low level embedded system concept

Domain Knowledge
