Job summary

Vrinda Global in India invites an experienced Highway Design Engineer to develop geometric highway designs, including horizontal and vertical alignments, and to prepare plans, profiles and cross-sections.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MX Road or OpenRoads, well-versed in IRC and MoRTH standards, and capable of coordinating with multidisciplinary teams from design through construction to deliver accurate results on schedule.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of Highway Design experience.
• MX Road OR OpenRoads – Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Highway/Geometric Design.
• Plan, profile and cross-section preparation.
• IRC & MoRTH specifications knowledge.
• Pavement and drainage design understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop highway geometric designs including horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare detailed drawings: plans, profiles and cross-sections.
• Design intersections, interchanges, service roads and junctions.
• Support pavement design (flexible and rigid) based on data.
• Analyze survey data for design inputs.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates and reports.
• Ensure compliance with IRC/MoRTH standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support construction and resolve site issues.
• Deliver outputs on project schedules.

Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech – Civil Engineering

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Highway Design Engineer with strong expertise in highway and geometric design. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in MX Road or OpenRoads and a strong understanding of IRC and MoRTH standards.

The candidate will be responsible for developing highway designs, engineering drawings, design documentation and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Develop geometric designs for highways, including horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings including plans, profiles and cross-sections.
• Design and develop intersections, interchanges, service roads and junction improvements.
• Perform or support flexible and rigid pavement design based on traffic and soil data.
• Analyze survey and other project data, including topographic, traffic and GPR information, for design inputs.
• Design highway drainage systems including side drains, culverts and stormwater management systems.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates.
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications and other project documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IRC, MoRTH and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, environmental and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Review drawings, calculations and design outputs to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Participate in client meetings and support design approvals.
• Address client comments and incorporate design revisions within the required turnaround time.
• Provide technical support during construction and assist in resolving site-related design issues.
• Ensure timely delivery of design outputs as per project schedules.

Mandatory Skills
