Job summary

Vrinda Global in India is seeking a Highway Design Engineer to develop geometric designs for highways, including horizontal and vertical alignments. The role involves preparing plans, profiles, and cross-sections, and designing intersections, interchanges, and drainage systems.

You will analyze survey data, assist in BOQs and cost estimates, and coordinate with structural, geotechnical, and environmental teams to ensure compliance with IRC and MoRTH standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop geometric design of highways, including horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare detailed drawings such as plans, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Design intersections, interchanges, service roads, and junction improvements.
• Perform pavement design (flexible and rigid) based on traffic and soil data.
• Analyze survey data for alignment and design inputs.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Design drainage systems including side drains, culverts, and stormwater management.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, and environmental teams.
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and documentation.
• Review drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve site-related design issues.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MX Road, or OpenRoads.
• Strong knowledge of IRC and MoRTH specifications.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Develop geometric design of highways, including horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings such as plans, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Design intersections, interchanges, service roads, and junction improvements Perform pavement design (flexible and rigid) based on traffic and soil data
• Analyze survey data (topographic, GPR, traffic) for alignment and design inputs.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates Design drainage systems including side drains, culverts, and stormwater management.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, and environmental teams Ensure designs comply with IRC, MoRTH, and relevant standards.
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and documentation Participate in client meetings and support design approvals.
• Review drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy and quality.
