Job summary

Pace Digitek Limited, Bengaluru, seeks an experienced HVAC & Thermal Lead Engineer to design, develop, and optimize thermal management systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role covers heat-load calculations, cooling system sizing, airflow management, CFD reviews, and BTMS design across cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience designing HVAC and thermal management for BESS.
• Ability to perform heat load calculations and system sizing.
• Experience with CFD simulations and thermal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and thermal management systems for BESS containers and battery enclosures.
• Perform heat load calculations, cooling system sizing, airflow management, and thermal optimization.
• Lead air-cooled and liquid-cooled BTMS design and validation.
• Review CFD simulations, thermal analysis, and engineering documentation.
• Design coolant circuits and piping layouts.
• Support pressure testing, product qualification, FAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Electrical, BMS, PCS, EMS, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, UL and applicable standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support new product development.
