Talent et au-dela in Gurgaon, India, seeks a hands-on leader to own Health actuarial operations from Gurgaon. You will lead from the front — reviewing analyses, solving complex technical issues and guiding client work — while driving transformation and talent development across a global actuarial team.

You will partner with business and stakeholders to build scalable capabilities and position the organization as a trusted partner for Health solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of actuarial experience with deep Health/medical and group benefits.
• Fully or partially qualified actuary (IFoA, IAI, SOA or equivalent).
• Experience leading mid-size to large actuarial teams in global delivery, GCC or consulting.
• Hands-on pricing, reserving, claims analytics and actuarial methodology.
• Track record of automation, process transformation and operational excellence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Delivery: Own end-to-end Health actuarial delivery — pricing, reserving/IBNR, claims and experience analysis, plan costing, valuations and reporting.
• Operations: Run day-to-day operations including capacity planning, SLAs, turnaround times and peak-cycle delivery.
• Transformation: Drive process improvement, automation and operating-model changes using data and technology.
• Governance: Ensure quality, peer review, compliance with actuarial standards and risk management.
• People: Lead, coach and grow a mid-size to large actuarial team; build leadership pipeline and talent progression.
• Stakeholders: Partner with global leaders and client-facing teams to improve service delivery and growth.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on leader to own and run Health actuarial operations from Gurgaon. You will lead from the front — reviewing actuarial analyses, solving complex technical issues and stepping into critical client work — while driving operational excellence, transformation and talent development across a global actuarial team. You will partner with business, consulting and client-facing stakeholders to build scalable capabilities and position the organization as a trusted partner for complex Health solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery: Own end-to-end Health actuarial delivery — pricing, reserving/IBNR, claims and experience analysis, plan costing, valuations and reporting — and act as senior reviewer and escalation point on complex deliverables.
• Operations: Run day-to-day operations including capacity planning, SLAs, turnaround times and peak-cycle delivery (renewals, year-end).
• Transformation: Drive process improvement, automation and operating-model changes using data, analytics and technology; lead transitions of new work into the centre.
• Governance: Ensure quality, peer review, compliance with actuarial standards and risk management across all deliverables.
• People: Lead, coach and grow a mid-size to large actuarial team; build a leadership pipeline and support actuarial exam progression.
• Stakeholders: Partner with global leaders and client-facing teams to improve service delivery, expand scope and support business growth.

Qualification Criteria

What We Are Looking For

• 15+ years of actuarial experience with strong depth in Health / medical and group benefits.
• Fully or partially qualified actuary (IFoA, IAI, SOA or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing mid-size to large actuarial teams in a global delivery, GCC or consulting setup.
• Hands-on technical strength in health pricing, reserving, claims analytics and actuarial methodology.
• Track record of driving automation, process transformation and operational excellence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across geographies.
