Inviting applications for the role of Actuarial Senior Consultant, Insurance

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our health actuarial team. This role will primarily support the areas of reserve valuation, financial forecasting, and health data analytics, contributing to the company’s financial strength and strategic direction. The Analyst will work with experienced actuaries to develop and monitor health reserve estimates (e.g., IBNR, premium deficiency reserves), assist with projecting healthcare costs and utilization, and perform data-driven analysis to support financial planning and business decision-making. The Actuarial Analyst’s work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.

Job Description for Actuarial Senior Consultant

(I) RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process Support
2. Understand the full Client reporting landscape across pricing and financials and perform tasks/projects/analysis assigned by the Client process manager.
3. Support the transition of assigned tasks documentation, training, monitoring progress, etc.
4. Act as a Doer / Checker producing commentary with detailed analysis to support the results.
5. Value Generation - Pro-actively seek ways to improve efficiency and calibrate with Genpact team and Client process owners for their direction and prioritization to execute process improvements.
6. Produce and review the documents (technical or otherwise) that the team produces to ensure they adhere to the guidance provided by the Client process owner.
7. Support Client team leads business initiatives and projects as per Client Process Manager’s preference and priority - participate as needed for providing process improvement opportunities to Client business owners.
8. Understand end-to-end functionality of the actuarial process.
9. Facilitate feedback on processes and models between Client and Genpact.
10. Identify potential areas of support and growth areas for the offshore team.
11. Coordinate with Client and Genpact leaders on expectations, priorities, transitioning work to offshore.
12. Perform process tasks and activities as needed to maintain knowledge, serve as back up and balance workload.
13. Create knowledge repository through process documentation and keep it current.

(II) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS/BA Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics and/or related major
2. Good Actuarial exam progress (5-6 Actuarial exams cleared) with 5-8 years’ experience in life/annuity insurance or financial services industry
3. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
5. Demonstrated ability to manage through influence and not direction ownership
6. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

(III) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. US ASA equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance industry
2. Strong actuarial work experience and understanding of US life products & Knowledge of US regulations - GAAP, STAT, and Tax reporting concepts
3. Specific knowledge of tools – Any actuarial modeling tool (preferably PolySystems, AXIS or MGAlfa), Excel, VBA, SQL, Word, PowerPoint
4. Knowledge of actuarial modeling, preferably for US products
